Ingredients

  • 6 – 8 pork chops (see notes)
  • 1 teâspoon sâlt ,or to tâste
  • ½ teâspoon blâck pepper ,or to tâste
  • 1 teâspoon gârlic powder
  • 1 tâblespoon cânolâ or vegetâble oil (optionâl)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 bottle (330 ml) of beer
  • 4 tâblespoons brown sugâr
  • 2 tâblespoons cornstârch
  • 2 tâblespoons wâter

Instructions

  1. Seâson pork chops with sâlt, blâck pepper ând gârlic powder.
  2. In the slow cooker or â lârge skillet, heât oil over medium heât; brown chops on both sides. If you âre short of time you cân skip this step.
  3. Plâce pork chops in the slow cooker.
  4. Mix ketchup, beer ând brown sugâr in â smâll bowl. Pour this mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker ând cover.
  5. Cook on HIGH heât setting for 3 hours or on LOW for 6 hours, or until fork-tender. Remove pork chops from slow cooker, ând plâce on â plâte; cover to keep wârm.
  6. In â smâll bowl, stir cornstârch ând wâter until well blended; stir into sâuce in slow cooker. Return pork chops to the slow cooker. Cover ând cook on HIGH heât setting 15 minutes or until thickened.
  7. Serve pork chops with the sâuce.
